Uma nova produção teatral está a chegar a Arkham. Vinda de Paris, não é surpresa que esta peça seja o assunto principal entre as bocas das pessoas influentes da cidade. Mas durante a vossa procura para descobrir mais sobre a peça, descobrirão um segredo sombrio. Desaparecimentos. Suicídios. Ilusões. Insanidade. "The Path to Carcosa" é a segunda Deluxe Expansions de Arkham Horror: The Card Game. Nela, é o vosso dever descobrir os segredos desta estranha apresentação. Os dois cenários da caixa levaram-te a uma viagem até ao Ward Theatre e a um convite para um jantar de comemoração realizado pelos atores e equipa de produção. Mas a cada resposta e pista descobertas, mais entrarás na loucura e no mistério. Além dos dois cenários que iniciam o Ciclo The Path to Carcosa, a nova Deluxe contém 6 novos Investigadores (e não cinco como aconteceu no Core set e na Deluxe The Dunwich Legacy), em conjunto com dúzias de cartas de jogador para as diversas classes do jogo. Serão cinco investigadores, um para cada Classe, e a estreia de Lola Hayes, a primeira investigadora "Neutra" que, assombrada pelo seu papel na tenebrosa peça, volta a Arkham para uma última apresentação. Sendo a fenomenal atriz que é, Lola pode literalmente escolher, a cada turno, uma Classe para representar, e poder usar as cartas daquela classe de forma magistral. Os cenários apresentam uma nova mecânica chamada "Hidden": quando compras uma carta do baralho de encontros, manténs essa mesma carta na mão, escondida, sem revelar o conteúdo. Enquanto estiver lá, ela causará problemas diversos - mas livrares-te delas nem sempre será tão simples. A campanha em si trará a mecânica de "Doubt" e "Conviction", com cartas e resoluções que farão o grupo marcar as suas dúvidas e convicções no Relatório de Campanha, e diversos desdobramentos poderão ocorrer em pontos chave se o grupo tiver dúvidas sobre sua sanidade ou convicção de sua tarefa. "O Rei de Amarelo" está a chegar a Arkham, e os altos círculos não falam de outra coisa. Ficarão eles vivos e sãos tempo o suficiente para apreciar tudo até o final? Vocês, investigadores, sobreviverão para descobrir a verdade?
